The Real Dirt on Farmer John – April 10
Showing at the Donald L. Oat Theater
The Epic Tale of a Maverick Midwestern Farmer
An outcast in his community, Farmer John bravely stands amidst a failing economy, vicious rumors, and violence. By melding the traditions of family farming with the power of art and free expression, this powerful story of transformation and renewal heralds a resurrection of farming in America.
The film is a haunting odyssey, capturing what it means to be different in rural America.
The movie will be preceded by a short an opportunity to hear from a variety of representatives from our local Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Farms.
The subject of this documentary, Farmer John, currently maintains the largest CSA operation in America. The panel of local CSAs will highlight what being a CSA means in our local Southeastern CT community.
Donation is $7.00.
Please note that our new movie start time is now 7:30pm.
