Norwich Community Cinema 2020

June 1, 2020 – Norwich, CT – The Norwich Community Cinema Foundation (NCCF) will not be screening free outdoor films in this 2020 summer season as the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic continue to ripple through Connecticut. While our own NCCF family would love nothing more than to share a film under the stars with your family this summer, we must do our part to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our community.

After evaluating the production and logistical aspects of our events, as well as our available resources, it was clear that we would be unable to provide and ensure a safe environment for everyone attending our screenings.

The NCCF remains committed to bringing free outdoor films to our Norwich community and will work to bring them back for the 2021 summer season. We are grateful for our past summer series sponsors and would like to take this opportunity to thank them again and encourage our own patrons to support them in these difficult days.

“Despicable Me” on the Norwichtown Green POSTPONED AGAIN

Saturday, August 18th, 2012

It looks like Mother Nature isn’t cooperating with us AGAIN this weekend. The rain is coming down and the forecast calls for thunderstorms forcing us to postpone tonight’s screening of “Despicable Me” under the stars on the Norwichtown Green.

Our rain date is to be determined. We are sorry about the inconvenience this postponement may bring.

Check our website and Facebook page for updates and of course we will email our new date as soon as it’s confirmed.

Again, we’d like to thank our generous sponsors and encourage you to let them know how much you appreciate their support of film in Norwich.
